Road Safety Education Program

The Road Safety Education Program includes a total of 39 hours of instruction divided into 24 hours of theory and 15 hours of in-car driving lessons.

It is based on five guiding principles:

  • Alternating between theory and practice
  • Autonomous driving
  • Ecodriving
  • the OEA strategy (Observe, Evaluate, Act) and
  • Information on risky behaviours.

1 – Register and make a first payment.

  • 5% 5%

2 – Attend the first five modules of theory and successfully pass the instructor’s theoretical examination (minimum time: 28 days). You will receive a certificate of achievement for the theoretical exam.

  • 20% 20%

3 – Visit a Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ) office with the following documents to obtain your learner’s permit:

There is no additional theoretical exam to take at this time.

  • 25% 25%

4 – Complete phases 2, 3 and 4 of the course, consisting of 14 hours of theory and 15 hours of in-car driving lessons.

  • 75% 75%

5 – Ten months after obtaining your learner’s permit, pass the SAAQ theoretical exam, which covers all the material, including the material contained in the roadmap.

  • 85% 85%

6Two months after passing the theoretical exam, take and pass the SAAQ road test. To qualify for this exam, you must also have obtained a VISION Plus Driving School certificate of achievement by completing the full academic program and 15 in-car driving lessons successfully.

  • 100% 100%

The course therefore lasts a minimum of 13 months.
