Here are some commonly asked questions at VISION plus Driving School.
How much does a driving course cost?
The regular cost of a full course is $870 (plus taxes). We also offer advanced training packages according to your needs.
How long do I have to finish my driving course?
The usual length of our service contract is 18 months. However, it is possible to extend the agreement under certain conditions if you do not finish on time.
I will soon be 16 years old and am interested in driving courses. When can I start my classes?
You can start the theoretical course a few weeks before your 16th birthday. As soon as you become 16 years old, and following the successful completion of the module 5 exam, you will be able to go to the SAAQ with a certificate from the VISION plus Driving School to obtain your learner’s license.
In how many months can I take my exam and get my license?
The course of the new curriculum is spread over 13 months. You will be able to pass your first theoretical exam (at Module 5, at school) when you have completed the first 4 modules, about 1 month after starting the Road Safety Education Program.
You can pass your second theoretical exam at the SAAQ when you have completed all your theoretical modules and have had your learner’s license for at least 10 months.
Finally, you can pass your practical exam at the SAAQ when you have completed your 15 in-car lessons, passed your theoretical exam and have had your learner’s license for at least 12 months.
When can I get my class 5 learner's license?
If you are 16 years of age or older and have successfully completed Phase 1 of the academic course (five 2-hour modules, including assessment), you can obtain your learner’s permit by visiting a SAAQ service center with a certificate from the Vision Plus Driving School. You will then have to pass a visual test, complete a medical statement and provide the Consent of a Person Having Parental Authority form if you are under 18 years of age. Your learner’s permit will be issued if everything is in order.
